By volunteering with NextNW, you’ll help build a thriving creative community, drive engagement, and contribute to meaningful initiatives that empower professionals and brands across the region. Our membership spans Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia, and Alberta.

Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Social Media Content Coordinator to help amplify our presence on LinkedIn through consistent, creative, and engaging content. You’ll support the Marketing Chair in building brand awareness, supporting sponsors and events, and strengthening our industry voice. This role is vital to expanding NextNW’s visibility and connection to its growing member base.

Key Responsibilities
Draft, schedule, and publish content on LinkedIn, aligned with our events, sponsors, and thought leadership themes
Use HeyOrca to manage the content calendar and ensure visibility across teams
Coordinate with our social content partner, MDZN Studios, to avoid overlap and ensure complementary efforts
Repurpose newsletter, blog, and event content into engaging social posts
Monitor engagement and respond to basic comments or messages
Assist with live social coverage during key events, when available

Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who:

Has a passion for marketing, media, and creative industries
Has experience creating or managing social media content (even in a volunteer or academic capacity)
Understands how to adapt professional content for platforms like LinkedIn
Is organized, communicative, and proactive in following through on deliverables
Is comfortable using digital tools like Slack, Google Drive, and HeyOrca
Can collaborate with a small remote team and commit to the role for at least one year
